MOT Tester – Basic Requirements (UK)

To start training as an MOT Tester with Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), you must have:

4 years' vehicle repair experience
Proof of your work such as payslips, references, or employment records
Level 2 qualification in vehicle maintenance or equivalent skills
Full UK driving licence
Good character with no serious offences

Important: You must show proof of your experience before starting the course. If you cannot provide this, you will not be accepted.
